I encountered a couple of hiccups. The overflow from the bath leaked onto the floor, requiring a towel to catch the drips, and tuning in the freesat TV proved frustrating at first. Though Netflix worked fine, it was a bit of a hassle. The mattress felt slightly firm, which affected my sleep quality, and the price seemed high for a stay in January, feeling more suited to peak season rates.

Lovely home feel in a family-run hotel.
The mattress in our room was hard and uneven, which made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. we could hear noises from adjacent rooms, despite the soundproofing claims. Unfortunately, the view from the balcony was not as expected, leading us to not utilize it during our stay.

That big bath in our room was such a treat! The space was clean and had fab extras like biscuits and soda. Just wish we could've heard less road noise. 😊

Couple getaway worth considering
The location is pretty great, we parked the car for free and walked to the town. Gill made our stay easy, she was very helpful when I messaged her before arriving, and the unexpected little goodies in the room like porridge and soda made it feel special.
It wasn't the cheapest option, but you know what, it was still worth it.

We had the most amazing stay! The view of Whitby castle was a highlight, but the towels could've been fluffier, eh?

great stay with minor issues
The room was tastefully decorated, offering a pleasing ambiance. The shower had impressive water pressure, providing a refreshing experience. the hosts demonstrated excellent communication, promptly responding to my inquiries. The location was ideal, being a short stroll from the town center, allowing easy access to local attractions.
The bedding could use some improvement, as it felt slightly worn.

The room was impressively spacious and spotlessly clean, complete with thoughtful touches like complimentary snacks and a mini fridge. The location offered convenient parking, although the noise from neighboring rooms could be an issue at times. A minor annoyance was the somewhat firm mattress, which affected sleep quality. Nonetheless, the stay was enjoyable, making it a memorable trip I’d consider repeating.
